A painting tradition built on faith,
family, and craft

City on a Hill Painting & Construction is a family-owned, faith-driven business rooted in a tradition that goes back more than half a century. Daniel Vargas founded the company in 2007, but his connection to the trade started long before that. Growing up, Daniel worked alongside his father, Carlos Vargas, a painter with over 35 years of experience who built his career during a time when painting meant knowing sheetrock repair, tape and float, texture work, carpentry, and roofing all at once. That broad, hands-on foundation shaped everything Daniel learned.

Daniel is a second-generation painter in every sense of the word. As a child, he spent weekends and summers on job sites with his father, picking up skills that no classroom could teach. Over time, he made the decision to carry that tradition forward and build something of his own. City on a Hill Painting & Construction is the result of that choice.
